So I'm once again thinking of jumping back into Guild Wars 2 due to some friends picking it up again. I'll easily admit to feeling a bit of trepidation regarding this, as my past experience has been that any time I start to build up any head of steam in the game, everyone jumps ship for something else & I'm very much not a solo player. ...Hopefully it goes better this time around. I'm curious is my experience is an edge case or closer to the norm. If any of you have had a similar experience with this game or similar, please let me know.

So I've been having an incredible time with Biomutant recently. It manages to capture some of that elusive joy that many games seemed to exhibit in the late 90's & early 2000's before DnD ...type mechanics were injected into nearly every single game published, regardless of whether they were suitable or not. Add lootboxes to this mix & you have the perfect recipe for burning out players. Thankfully Biomutant contains neither of these elements. Despite its many flaws, it encourages you to explore, play & partake in something that has been missing from many video games lately. Simple, glorious fun.
